Important Note: Sound Effects
When using an auxiliary device in the car, you might hear a slight buzzing sound, engine noise, or high-pitched whine. That is because your car model has a grounding issue between the audio system and the power socket, which causes a whining or buzzing sound when you drive. This sound is not caused by your Kensington product; however, Kensington has an easy solution. Simply purchase an automotive ground loop isolator for your car that is compatible with a 3.5-mm jack. This simple tool will enable you to use your music in a safe, hands-free environment.

Kensington can provide you with a ground loop isolator free of charge by calling Kensington's Technical Support team at (800) 535-4242. Please provide the serial number of your LiquidAUX product when you call Technical Support, and the company will arrange to ship you the ground loop isolator.

User Reviews about Kensington LiquidAUX Auxiliary Car Kit with Remote for iPod; iPhone 1G - 3G

This is just a quick review. The device works great. Best on the market and believe me I've tried many others. I've been using it for over a year now on first my iPhone 3G then my iPhone 4. Works great on both. There is only one drawback to this device and it's going to become a big one. As everyone knows Apple is giving out free cases and most people are likely to get the official apple bumper. Like them I have the bumper on my phone now and the kensington adapter is too large to fit to fit the iPhone 4 when the bumper is on. Basically it requires you to remove the bumper just to use. This can be a huge problem for those that need the bumper for reception reasons. With such a large quantity of iPhone 4 users getting the bumper this is not going to go over well if the device simply doesn't fit. Removing the bumper causes it to depreciate a lot also. I've removed mine 4 or 5 times now and already started to see it. Plus constant removal messes up screen protectors especially zagg. Hopefully a new one comes out that will have a smaller connector. I will be first in line to buy it. -- Used for over 1 year but big drawback for iPhone 4
I bought this last year and have had to get it replaced once because I wore the first one out using it during my 2-hour daily commute. But Keningston replaced it quickly for free.

But I'm writing this mostly to let people know that it does work with my iPhone 4! It charges the phone and plays music through my car speakers like it's supposed to.

Also, I do get that annoying feedback when it's plugged into my auxiliary port; I don't hear it when I'm playing music but do when I'm not. Apparently you can get a free thingie that makes that stop but I haven't bothered... -- Works with iPhone 4!!!
Geez, it's not easy to find a car charger with a built in aux port output using only the iPhone 3GS docking port. If this is what you want then this is the product for you! I have had no problems hooking it up or using it in my car. -- Just what I was looking for
