I got this in dqsh receiver for my birthday. it was ordered thru amazon via CarCare intl. I used it to replace my factory stereo system. the unit is great and makes a really good job at giving you a very clear and powerful sound, even with factory speakers.

Pros:
every common file format is accepted: aac/wma/wav/mp3
great equalizer and very nice presets
easy to customize display
nice shortcuts to access your subwoofers settings
complete remote
lets you play tunes from virtually any portable device: just get an RCA adapter [...] and plug it to the rear input of the receiver. Cheaper than the Pioneer adapter stuff, convenient (can play whatever you want) and way better sound than the FM transmitters.

Cons:
display can be very (too?) bright especially if the receiver is high on the dash
control roll seems sometimes a bit cheap, although never get anyprobem so far

Conclusion: excellent unit, and one on the only allowing you to play Itunes encoded files (wont work with the files you got from the Itunes store) -- excellent unit!

This is a nice looking, powerful, and feature-filled in-dash cd/mp3/wma player. It has great radio reception and displays up to 16 characters (for song titles & artist). It has a rotary knob to easily navigate through your mp3 cds or preset radio stations. It reads mp3 cds in a flash! The level of sound customization is stunning. There are so many adjustments you can make to tailor the sound of your music--you might feel like you're at a mixing board in a recording studio!

The look of the deck is simple and elegant. It has a manual flip down front to allow cd access; this is a great feature for two reasons: (1) it flips down quickly and there's no motor to worry about; and (2) it allows for a bigger screen for title & artist information as well as screen savers, background graphics, and mini-movies.

Stunning looks; stunning sound. I jettisoned my Aiwa to get this Pioneer deck...and, not for one second, did I regret that decision.

The killer feature for me was the built-in compressor, a feature that boosts quiet sounds and reins in loud sounds, like a "midnight" mode on a home theater system. This makes it possible to listen to dynamic music like classical music, without having the quiet passages submerged in road noise. Pioneers were the only decks I could find with this feature.

It was a straight-forward operation to fit this head into the Monsoon system in my GM. You'll need the the usual wire and chassis kits - you should budget about $40 for these.

One thing drove me crazy - the display flashes bright then dark every 5 seconds! - but fortunately the manual explains how to turn this off. -- Great features and sound, easy to use

I have to say that I absolutely love this CD Player. I got it about 2 months ago and I have not had any problems with it whatsoever. I bought it because it has MP3/WMA format capabilites. Also you can control your subwoofers with a touch of a button. I love that I can turn off my subs whenever I don't feel like listening to bass. There are 3 sets of outputs so you can put an amp to both front and back speakers as well as subs. The radio comes in loud and clear because of its great radio reception. and I love that the whole thing lights up neon blue. Theres also many different background images to choose from as well as many screen savers and animations to show off. Overall I have to give this stereo 5 stars. I love Pioneer and this cd player is no different. If your looking to get a great cd player for just listening to music or your upgrading your stereo for a future system this is the cd player for you to get. -- One Great CD Player!!!
