I had to trim down a plastic peice so this antenna would attach to the curved fender on my altima where the old broken off antenna was and I didn't realize I needed a special adapter to hook it up, so its not connected yet. It doesn't quite cover the oval hole in the fender, so I had to improvise to keep the rain out. This is a great looking antenna and is very easy to install. I had the 'heavy duty' version also made by Pyramid and it was quite, well ugly, it was chrome and black and looked downright silly installed.

When I installed this antenna, you'd be hard priced to not think it came like that on the car. It's black and slimline and pivots in 4 directions and it blends into the contours of any car very easily. I installed this on a Honda Ridgeline which has a hidden antenna that never worked well. Installing a whip antenna, well, there's just no comparison, by all laws of physics I've heard about for am/fm reception.

Do note the antenna cord is only 48" long and may not be sufficient for your particular car. I personally had to purchase an extension, but it was inexpensive as well. Overall, this antenna's price and even a cord extension (if you need one) was still cheaper than anything I found at retail electronic stores.
